We recommend that clients remove jewelry before going to bed or participate in any physical activity. Exposure to certain chemicals or hostile environments will result in compromising the integrity of your jewel. This includes, but is not limited to the following: perspiration, perfumes, agents, chlorine, salt water, and polish for cleaning the silver.
Pour a small amount of mild soap in warm water and use a small, soft toothbrush to clean your jewelry. Toothbrushes are ideal for cleaning jewelry with intricate details, which may otherwise be difficult to clean. If the dirt is difficult to remove, moisten the jewelry in clean water. This particular cleaning method should not be used to clean jewelry with cultured freshwater pearls.
Storage of your jewelry
Jewelry should be stored away from natural sunlight and heat, in a jewelry box (lined). It can also be stored in a plastic zipper bag made of polyethylene. Keep in mind that our white packaging boxes are not made for long-term storage, as they are not watertight and stains occur over time.
Oxidation appears over time. This is considered normal wear and tear and is not a defect.
Things that can cause oxidation to appear are: sweating, chlorine, perfumes, cleaning products and silver polish. The use of liquid to polish silver is not recommended.
Cultured freshwater pearls
Try to avoid exposing your cultured freshwater pearls to water, makeup, creams, chemicals and cleaning products. Cultivated freshwater pearls can not withstand silver polish. Do not use a silver polishing cloth because it dulls your pearls. Instead, a mild soap mixed with warm water is recommended. Use your fingers to gently clean your jewelry. Do not use a brush. Dry carefully.
